The Sugar Mound Arts & Crafts Festival is held annually on the second full weekend in October at the Linn County Fairgrounds in historic Mound City, KS. There are over 650 booths and exhibits. Of these, at least 30 are taste tempting food vendors! All arts and crafts are original and handmade by the exhibitors. The Arts & Crafts Festival parade is held on Main Street in Mound City on Saturday morning preceding the festival. The annual Sugar Mound 5K run is held on Saturday morning, starting at Jayhawk Linn High School.

What type of exhibits will there be? Artists, Craftsmen, Tole painting, China Painting, Candles, Quilts, Woodworking, Oil Painting, Water Colors, Weaving, Dolls, Crochet, Ceramics, Leather works, Jewelry making, Stained Glass, Pottery and many, many more.
How do I get to Mound City? Mound City is approximately 60 miles South of Overland Park, KS. Use this Google Maps link for specific driving directions.
Where can I park? Parking at the fairgrounds will open at 9:30 each day but availability is very limited. Buses will be running from the High School, CO-OP and the Mound City Business District throughout each day. Camper and trailer hookups are available at the fairgrounds at a price of $10.00/night.
What type of food and lodging is available in the area? There will be numerous food vendors at the festival. Mound City and several of the surrounding towns have both restaurants and fast food establishments.
